Ashes
Tour Announcement - May 2008
Both Deaf Cricket
Australia and England Cricket Association for the Deaf (ECAD) has
announced that the 2008 Deaf Ashes Tour will take place in the UK
in July 2008. They are pleased to offer excellent opportunities
for deaf cricketers from both Australia and England to participate
in the tour. This will be the 4th Deaf Ashes Tour and will certainly
be the most fiercely contested. Australia has won the first three
Deaf Ashes Tour but are wary of England, especially in light of
their semi-final loss in the 2005 Deaf World Cup in India.
ECAD has also released dates of matches during the tour. There will
be two 3-day Test Matches (one less than the previous tour), 4 One
Day Internationals (one less than the previous tour) and an inaugural
Twenty/20 Match. See below for the itinerary.
