Deaf
Cricket NSW hosted Funboat Cruise on Sydney Harbour - May 2008
Deaf
Cricket NSW held their social function on Saturday 12th April 2008
on a ferry which cruised around the Sydney Harbour taking in the
awesome sights of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the elegant Opera
House...... at night.
The event was very well organised with over 110 people in attendance
and all making the most of an enjoyable time. The event was not
without flavour, as most attendees wore 1960s to 1970s fancy dress
clothing. Some impersonated Elvis and other impersonated Marilyn
Monroe, with prizes awarded to the best male and female dressers.
DCNSW pledged that all profits from the evening will go towards
the Australian Deaf Cricket Team, who will be touring the UK in
July 2008. Deaf Cricket Australia wishes to thank the committee
of DCNSW for their generous time and effort to assist the players
with their fundraising.
