BOARD OF DEAF CRICKET AUSTRALIA

President: Mr. Kevin Smith

Kevin Smith started as a player for New South Wales and has worked his way up the ranks, having played for Australia, became a Selector and Team Manager for Australia, joined the Board as Treasurer and recently took over the role of President after Rebekah Rose's departure. Kevin brings with him a wealth of knowledge of Australian Deaf Cricket from all his experiences he gained prior to joining the Board. Kevin is still a playing member of New South Wales and he is affectionally known as 'Mop' for his unusually long hair whilst he was Tour Manager for the Australian Deaf Cricket Team who toured India for the 2005 World Cup.

Secretary: Mr. John Webb
John Webb started out as a player playing for New South Wales and like Kevin, has worked his way up the ranks. The only difference being, he has been involved in Deaf Cricket for a long time. Deaf Cricket Australia are very fortunate to have John on the Board as he is a no-frills man who gets the work done, as quickly and efficiently as possible and has a habit of lifting the standards of those around him. John is a former President of the then ADCA and stepped down a few years ago. It wasn't long before John got itchy feet and soon re-joined the Board, this time as Secretary. These days, John lives in Brisbane and enjoys the warm weather.

Treasurer: Mr. Derek Rowe
Derek Rowe's roots started out at New South Wales, playing for the local Silent Warriors Cricket Club and helping the club out at various levels. He recently rose to the position of Treasurer at Deaf Cricket Australia and brings a freshness to DCA which hasn't been experienced for some time. Deaf Cricket Australia welcomes Derek to the Board and wishes him enjoyment with his new position and the various experiences which are undoubtedly to come.
