LIFE MEMBERSHIP OF DEAF CRICKET AUSTRALIA
 
Mr. John Webb

John Webb was the inaugural Life member of Deaf Cricket Australia, having been presented with the prestigious award on 8th January 2001 for his tireless service to Deaf cricket.

The plaque describes

"In bestowing of Life Member is in recognition of your loyal, heartfelt and faithful dedicated service to the Australian Deaf Cricket Association, with many achieved and motivated years.

John M. Webb, in recognition of his considerable services, extraordinary contributions and outstanding achievements to the Australian Deaf Cricket Association, including:
– 10 years as President
- 35 years as a player
- Undefeated 4 times Australian Captain (Tests, Limited Overs and 1st World Cup) from 1978 to 1995/96
- Captained South Australia 5 times and won 3 Abraham Shield
- Delegate for NSW and SA Deaf Cricket Clubs"


Mr. Peter Jurgenstein

Peter Jurgenstein received his Life Membership on the 28th December 2006 in Adelaide after a long and distinguished career at Deaf Cricket Australia.

"In bestowing of Life Member is in recognition of your dedicated service to the Deaf Cricket Australia with many achieved and motivated years.

Peter Jurgenstein, in recognition of his considerable services, outstanding achievements to the Deaf Cricket Australia, including:
- 9 years as Treasurer
- 30 years as a player
- Most capped Test appearances (20)
- Leading most runs in Test matches (787 runs)
- Leading most wickets in Test matches (43 wickets)
- Best all-rounder since the interception of Australian team in 1978 on international level
- 3rd most capped ODI appearances (10)
- Captain in Test and ODI matches (against England in England 1994)
- Vice Captain in Test and ODI matches (against England in Australia 1992)
- Vice Captain in 1st World Cup matches (in Melbourne, Australia 1995/96)
- Inaugural Australian Team as a Test player (against India in India 1978)
- Captained Victoria on Australia Deaf Cricket Association's Centenerary ODD (Adelaide 1994)
- Delegate for Deaf Cricket Victoria
- Established Deaf Cricket International Federation in 2004 and immediately appointed Secretary"
